One of the newest Seneca Lake Wineries;
Catharine Valley is a family owned and operated Farm Winery committed to deliver the very finest Domestic and Alsatian style varietal wines. You can be assured of a warm welcome with a uniquely local charm. It’s our goal to echo the same warm welcoming environment that Queen Catharine herself was noted for.

About our name...
    Catharine (pronounced Cathareen) was Queen of the Seneca Indians and known throughout the area for her grace and cordiality. We are proud to display her name on all our bottles. Catharine Valley, Town of Catharine as well as Catharine Creek all bear tribute to her name.

Sweet Revenge
In August 1874 Mary Boyes wrote a vengeful letter to the world via the Watkins Express, absolving herself from all duties to her husband after he ran off for several days and then tried to slip back into her bed.

The Lost Irishman
Harkens an old Schyuler County story about a man washed up on the shores of Seneca Lake in 1874. Could it have been the Mary’s husband?

The Blue Goose
This Inn was well known to locals  in Burdett during prohibition times. It provided booze, gambling and ladies of the night. This semi dry white wine is a delicious trip back to those times. It was a favorite stop for Mary Boyes husband.

Seneca Steamer
Takes you back to the heydays when such Steamers were the mainstay of all commerce in the Finger Lakes Region
